Commonly Asked Questions

Yes! Our clients love the flexibility and convenience of virtual appointments. They save time on commuting while still receiving the same personalized support from our nutritionists—at a time and place that works for you. No matter how busy your schedule is, we can still connect.

Insurance may cover nutrition counseling services depending on your healthcare plan. For more information, go to Insurance Coverage for Nutrition Counseling.

Yes, out-of-pocket nutrition counseling appointments can be paid using your HSA or FSA account.

Absolutely not. You are free to come and go as it fits for your life. We know from experience that return consultations are best for continued support and success (and because it’s the most cost-effective choice for you), but you and your nutritionist will decide the best course of action to meet your goals.

No! The foods our team recommends are available at your local grocery store—the same real foods your grandparents ate, and theirs before them. Foods that don’t require a package or a label to decipher.
Depending on your health needs, supplements may be recommended (but never required) to support nutritional balance or help you stay on track. Your nutritionist will always work within your budget.

We hear this question all the time. If nutrition counseling is new to you, you might be wondering what you’ll talk about for 90 minutes. Here’s what to expect before and during your consultation.

What to expect during your initial consultation

  • You and your nutritionist will discuss your health history and concerns to set goals based on what's most important to you.
  • You will have plenty of time to ask questions and discuss your health goals and concerns.
  • You will learn how foods affect your health and well-being and why certain foods are important to include in your diet.
  • You will receive a realistic, personalized eating plan, along with recipes and suggestions for meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Your nutritionist will work with you to find practical ways to implement our real-food approach to eating.
  • Enjoy 10% off supplements the day of your counseling appointment. Depending on your health, supplements may be recommended (but not required) to rebalance your biochemistry, help you follow a healthy eating plan, or give you nutritional support.

Trust us—the time flies by, and you’ll leave feeling like no stone was left unturned, with the advocate and resources you’ve been looking for.

We find that clients who see their nutritionist every 2-3 weeks are the most successful.  Whether you are struggling to stay consistent or you're doing great, a follow-up helps you troubleshoot, celebrate, build on wins, and reset.
